The ZY(Q)2-ST double-chamber vacuum carburizing furnace is a dual-chamber vacuum furnace with oil (gas) quenching and low-pressure carburizing capabilities. It is primarily suitable for vacuum quenching of materials such as tool steel, die steel, bearing steel, and spring steel, as well as vacuum carburizing and quenching heat treatment of low-carbon alloy steel parts such as 20CrMnTi and 20# steel.
Control: Industrial computer system. Quenching and carburizing processes are fully automatic (or manual).
Process medium: Acetylene is used for carburizing, and high-purity nitrogen is used for diffusion.
Quenching options: Dual-chamber gas quenching, dual-chamber oil quenching, or triple-chamber oil-gas quenching are available. Acetylene vacuum carburizing also offers nitriding and carbonitriding capabilities.

Advantages of Acetylene Low-Pressure Vacuum Carburizing:
High carbon transfer rate;
Short cycle time;
No carbon black or tar generated;
Used for uniform and high-quality carburizing; Large furnace capacity and high production efficiency;
Overcomes internal oxidation; High brightness after oil and gas quenching;
Selective carburizing is achieved using electroplated copper, nickel, and other coatings;
No heat radiation, flames, or exhaust gases;
Typical Acetylene Vacuum Carburizing Cases
1. Acetylene Vacuum Carburizing Gas Quenching for Diesel Engine Injector Nozzles:
The injector nozzles are made of low-alloy chromium-nickel steel and require uniform carburizing. The carburizing equipment is a dual-chamber vacuum gas quenching furnace. The carburizing temperature is 910°C. After carburizing, the parts are rapidly quenched in a quenching chamber at 860°C in nitrogen at a pressure of 6-10 bar, and tempered at 170°C.
The results: Surface hardness HV1760, core hardness HV1450, and a smooth carburized layer hardness distribution. The carburized layer depth is 0.6mm, with a 0.1mm difference in depth between the inner and outer layers on the nozzle cross section. The workpiece is clean and bright after gas quenching, eliminating the need for further cleaning. This treatment also overcomes the internal oxidation common with gas carburizing.
2. Acetylene Vacuum Carburizing and Oil Quenching of Powder Metallurgy Gears:
Gear material: GrMo steel with 0.35% C and 0.5% Mn.
Technical requirements: Surface hardness > HV1700, carbon content around the tooth circumference of 1.0%, and hardened layer depth of 0.35mm.
Treatment parameters: Carburizing temperature 900°C, carburizing time ≈70 minutes, oil quenching, tempering at 160°C.
Treatment results: Surface hardness HV1780, hardened depth 0.4mm, core hardness HV1300.
